THE CERTIFICATION LEED

LEED is one of the major internationally recognized environmental certification systems for constructions. Teqton can provide LCA and EPD to help you achieve this certification.

The American LEED assessment primarily focuses on the environmental impact of constructions and pays less attention to the social aspects. The LEED certification covers all types of constructions and consists of various classification systems:

The classification systems are:

  • Building Design and Construction (BD+C)
  • Interior Design and Construction (ID+C)
  • Operations and Maintenance (O+M)
  • Neighborhood Development (ND)
  • Homes (H)

The certification assesses the entire lifecycle of buildings, from design and construction to daily operation and maintenance, interior layout, and extensive renovations.

HOW IS THE LEED CERTIFICATION ACHIEVED?

There are several fundamental prerequisites for achieving the LEED certification. In the system, the project earns points in various ways based on how many of the different sustainable strategies are fulfilled.

The categories that the LEED program assesses include location and transportation, sustainable construction site, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, innovation, and materials and resources.

There are four certification levels: certified, silver, gold, and platinum.

Teqton can provide you with the information you need for the LEED certification.
